This free event gives people the opportunity to be screened for five indicators of heart disease by Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals, plus experience some delicious Basic 4 food at our cooking demo at 8:00am, 9:30 am, and 12:30 pm.

We have been inviting everyone to JOIN THE VEGELUTION and we have been meeting people from all over! The next step on the journey is to dialogue about everything that will help us transition to a better global existence. So, periodically we will be sharing tips and tidbits about being a vegelutionary and making a positive contribution to the planet.
VEGELUTION TIP # 1
PUT YOUR BODY IN THE SHOP
One of the most important things we can do as we travel this journey is: experience optimal health. We need a reference point. So, make an appointment with your physician. It does not matter if you prefer Western medicine or Eastern medicine, just get a physical and make sure your body is operating at its peak performance.
Once you have established your health situation, then you can maintain, correct or supercharge your body’s operation. I have already had the traditional physical and basically I am in good shape. We want to address my stress levels and how they are affecting my body.
Well, I was watching Dr. Oz yesterday and he had a segment about weight loss and acupuncture. I became more inerested when he said that acupuncture can help with stress. So, guess who is going to try a few sessions of acupuncture? I am looking for someone in town who can administer the needles. Any suggestions?
I will keep you informed of my progress and I will let you know about the experience. This is just one of the many things I will be trying as I take baby steps to change the planet for the better.
